This Privacy Policy explains how STUD (“STUD,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit getastud.com, set up a STUD device, or use our web platform and mobile app (together, the “Services”).
Information we collect
Information you give us. Your email address if you join our waitlist or create an account, and the reorder links and labels you choose to associate with your STUD device.
Information collected automatically. Basic usage and device information (such as browser type and general location), and tap events used to make the product work and to understand aggregate usage. Where we log network information, we store it only in a hashed form — we do not keep raw IP addresses tied to your activity.
How we use information
To operate and improve the Services, to route a tap to the product you linked, to send you updates you've requested, and to keep the Services secure. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
Affiliate links
When a petal is linked to an Amazon product, tapping it may open a link that includes STUD's Amazon Associates tag. This never changes your price. Once you land on Amazon (or any third-party site), that site's own privacy policy applies. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Services (for example, our hosting and database providers), when required by law, or to protect our rights and users. Tapping a link naturally takes you to the destination site you chose.
Data retention & security
We keep information only as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes, and we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your choices
You can use a STUD device without creating an account. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at hello@getastud.com.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
